Megadeth Lamb of God Opeth Arch Enemy Overkill Into Eternity Sanctity The Smashup
I got there before the doors opened to ensure my place on the rail for Lamb of God, and didn't move from that spot the entire night. It was so worth it...I ended up with an Arch Enemy pick, a Lamb of God setlist and some great memories!
There were cameras everywhere...they were filming for a dvd of the tour. It sucked (just a little) because the space between the rail and the stage was twice as wide as usual, but it will all be great if any of this show ends up immortalized on the dvd!
The earlier bands weren't bad...I hadn't seen any of them before. Sanctity seems very promising. The rail/pit wasn't too wild until Arch Enemy hit the stage. It calmed down for Opeth and then totally errupted with Lamb of God. I couldn't see if the infamous Wall of Death took place during Black Label, it was definitely intense in the front~got the bruises to prove it! The Megadeth crowd was wild as well and it was nice to finally get to see them...
I was hoping for better pictures, but the way the lighting was and the distance from the stage didn't help~and there were times when I couldn't move my arms!....I did manage to get these mementos of a great night:
